Don't have email
addresses? GREAT!
One thing we hear over and over
again is this: "But I don't have enough e-mail addresses
for this to be effective."
The fact of the matter is that you
(and every other business person) need to build your
email address database. By having a newsletter, you have
a great vehicle for doing just that.
In fact, that can be the reason
for your next call to your customers - "Hi, I have
started a free newsletter to keep my customers informed
about what's going on and would like to include you in
my contact list."
That's a better approach than
"What can you buy from me today?"
We see a much better response to
newsletters that start with a small database and grow
over time than we do to newsletters that begin with huge
databases. That's because the smaller ones grow because
the people actually sign up for the newsletters - they
know what is coming and are expecting it!
The world is changing, and you
need to keep up. By waiting until you have more email
addresses you are putting your marketing opportunities
on hold. We have people who have been using this as the
excuse to not use email newsletters for years...and have
lost countless opportunities along the way.
Bottom line: if you don't start
collecting emails now for a newsletter, when are you
going to start?
