I don't know about the rest of you, but we can't find enough time for all of the work that's piled in the last month.  If this is a sign of what is to come, we'd better get our track shoes on!

While there are plenty of excuses for companies to sit on the sidelines and watch the economy struggle along, many of our clients are seizing the opportunities of a down market and making key strategic acquisitions, placing themselves in a prime position for the inevitable rebound.

Rockefeller said "buy when blood is flowing in the streets."  We take that to mean that the time to be aggressive is when all of the competitors are being passive.  When it comes to aggressive, proactive capital strategies and execution, you know who to call.

Raising Capital In Troubled Times

Raising capital for the past two years has been problematic and difficult both for private companies and public companies alike. Raising money for start-up ventures for development stage companies has also been extremely difficult. The market for IPOs is virtually dead for private companies and public companies find themselves selling stock at a deep discount to what they would otherwise be able to sell their stock for in a healthy market.

A Board Crisis:
D&O Insurance

You can blame the Boom ‘90’s for the past three (3) years of diving stock prices, but it has been accounting misdeeds and corporate wrong doing that has caught the media’s attention and has been the primary driver behind the current Directors and Officers Liability crisis.  Yes, the pre-2000 soft insurance market is also a factor, but each reported scandal has exposed Insurers to hundreds of millions of dollars in potential claims.
