While the average number of self-employed Americans has traditionally stood at 7%, some experts are predicting that the number will rise to 10% or more over the next several years.

One major reason - the rise in contract labor.  The cost of hiring and training a work force continues to grow.  More employers are looking to grow their work force through outside agents.

 And technology plays a large part, as more people can telecommute from home.  According to the International Telework Association, the number of self-employed telecommuters rose from 19.9million to 23.4million over the last few years.

The McDermott & Bull Executive Network was created in order to provide Senior Executives with an extension of their current network. Developing contacts with other Senior Executives in transition throughout Southern California enables our members to build valuable industry relationships that they might not have previously been exposed to, receive job leads from group members and our firm, and provide assistance to other members.
