AeA, ACG, FCD, OCVG, FEI…Alphabet Soup Spells Success In Our Networked Business Community  By: Jeff Black, Principal Consultant

The key to success in the Orange County business community is no different than anywhere else for successful companies and people – you must be a vital part of the business community. Actively involved companies and people are the ones who: (1) gain the satisfaction of contributing to the community while ensuring their own interests are represented; (2) achieve the recognition and branding lift that involvement makes possible; and (3) establish the viral network that represents the fuel for growth and a vital source of resources and knowledge. Our firm is active in a number of these key business community organizations, and we wanted to highlight those groups and their value to the Orange County business community.

AeA – The premier industry group for technology companies - Advancing the Business of Technology.

AeA is the nation's largest high-tech trade association. AeA represents more than 3,000 companies with 1.8 million employees. These 3,000+ companies span the high-technology spectrum, from software, semiconductors, medical devices and computers to Internet technology, advanced electronics and telecommunications systems and services. With 17 regional U.S. councils and offices in Brussels and Beijing, AeA offers a unique global policy grassroots capability and a wide portfolio of valuable business services and products for the high-tech industry. AeA has been the accepted voice of the U.S. technology community since 1943. The Orange County Council is the 2nd largest with nearly 200 high tech companies as members. There are extensive participation opportunities in networking events and committees including Software/Technology, Operations, Medical Technology, Government Affairs, International, Sales & Marketing, and Membership.

Association For Corporate Growth (ACG) – Dedicated to Building Corporate Value Worldwide.

Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth is the premier association for and about professionals involved in middle-market corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions. It promotes the professional interests of its members, who have assumed leadership roles in strategic corporate growth, by offering a forum for quality programs, education and networking. ACG has over 6,000 members representing approximately 2,500 companies in 39 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, the UK, France, and Mexico. Four new chapters are in formation in the United States and Europe. ACG is Orange County's Premier Organization of Corporate Leaders and Professionals Providing Networking, Educational and Business Opportunities for Growth.

Forum For Corporate Directors (FCD) – Leadership In The Boardroom.

Orange Coast Venture Group (OCVG) – Dedicated to the growth of venture funding in Orange County.
