CHEERS continues to strive for easing the use of the Registry and the data integrity as we make improvements to our website. At every turn we are reminded that this industry is still learning about energy efficiency and how best to implement programs. We are constantly re-evaluating and implementing changes as our understanding of processes, mythologies and tools available change. Some of those enhancements are listed below.

CHEERS has been spending a considerable amount of time ensuring the data that goes into the Registry is appropriate and useful. To this end CHEERS has been reviewing and remapping the parser that pulls information from the two Title-24 compliance software programs.

Due to greater use of Energy Star being used for multi-family housing, CHEERS has made a change in how the information is pulled from the compliance software. Due to this product mix and the approach that is used to model the buildings CHEERS recently implemented a change that will select all measures listed in the file. This process change is impacted by the fact that different measures can be selected for different HVAC systems according to the location of the system.

An example is when an apartment building is modeled using a specific HVAC for the building office and another system being used for the rest of the building. This ‘simple’ change must then flow through the rest of the site and will impact the potential the way the System Tests are entered, causing CHEERS to review and try to simplify and eliminate any redundancy.

We have received feedback from a variety of sources stating that it is difficult to find a Rater on the Marketing Site. Items that we are working on relate to finding a Rater such as renaming the Get Rater Now dial to Find a Rater. Within the dial we are looking at adding search features such as by zip code, building department or what type of project it is.

As you can see when one item changes it affects a number of other areas within the Registry. CHEERS goal is to continue providing a system that does not impact market actors, while providing our Raters with a tool to expand your business.
