Trend of the Month: Media Consolidation

Deregulation and consolidation in broadcasting have dramatically altered the landscape of the radio industry. Relaxation in ownership rules in 1992 and 1996 have sparked this trend, and a scheduled June 2003, vote by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) may increase the consolidation of broadcast media even further.
